   以上の研究で，上咽頭癌の発生にEpstein-Barrウイルス感染が関与している可能性が示唆された。

5. 頭頚部癌細胞株におけるシスプラチン耐性の機序および解除の検討
6. 頭頚部扁平上皮癌に対する遺伝子治療の試み
   以上の研究で，抗癌剤であるシスプラチンに耐性をもつ腫瘍細胞の耐性機序のいくつかを証明し，
   その解除をin vitroにおいて実現した。また，がん細胞の増殖因子を生産する遺伝子を検索し，
   それに相補的な遺伝子構造物を作成することにより，ヌードマウスにおいて腫瘍の縮小効果を示した。
